Taghmon Athletics Club, (established 1985) is a small juvenile athletic club based in the Community Centre in Taghmon. We cater for children aged 6 and over and are affiliated to Athletics Ireland, Athletics Leinster and Athletics Wexford. We run general training sessions outdoors on Wednesdays evenings during the winter as well as some outdoor Cross Country training. In the summer training is outside and includes activities such as sprints, long jump, hurdles, ball throw and relays, weather permitting. Training times are dependent of the season of the year.  Athletes from the club have experienced success at County, Leinster, All Ireland and International levels both in Athletics Ireland competition and at Community Games, but the main emphasis of our club is having fun while keeping fit!
