We are the local soccer club in Taghmon and have been in existence since 1978. At present, we have 150 members comprising of one Adult men’s team, a Youths team, while at underage we have u9’s, u11’s, u12’s, u14’s and u16’s. We also have an over 35’s team for those who are not quite ready to hang up their boots just yet!!

Our club is always on the lookout for new members, so if you would like to play, have kids who’d like to play or would like to join our management/training crew or our dedicated committee personnel – please DO get in touch.

We are currently situated in our rented grounds in Horetown which has 2 full-size pitches and an underage pitch. It is our goal to be back playing in Taghmon Village for season 2024/25 as we are currently in the final stages of negotiations with the county council on securing our own grounds. It will take time and finances to develop it, but this is a project that we are eagerly awaiting and are excited to get started at it as soon as possible.

At underage level, we host 3 soccer camps each year – Halloween, Easter and Summer. They are ran over 4 days, open to 5-14 year old boys and girls and provide great fun for all, while learning skills along the way. Non-members are very welcome to our camps.

Our weekly fundraiser, “Split the Pot” has been a huge success for the last number of years with a lucky winner each week. Envelopes are on sale in all shops and pubs throughout the village – if you’re not in, you can’t win as they say. So get yours in today!!!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the community for their continued support with Split the Pot– without it, the annual costs of running the club would not be met, and we certainly would not be in any position to develop our grounds either. So, a big wholehearted THANK YOU from us all here at Taghmon United.
